VitalStim® Electrical Stimulation Swallowing Therapy Device
The VitalStim® Life-maintaining electrical stimulation swallowing therapy system is a non-invasive external electrical stimulation therapy and is the only device approved by the US FDA in 2002 to effectively restore swallowing function. In clinical and real-world experience, VitalStim® Life-maintaining electrical stimulation has been proven to be a safe and effective method, suitable for patients of different ages and etiologies, and even these patients with dysphagia have significant improvements within six months.
VitalStim® swallowing therapy device conducts a small amount of electricity through electrodes placed on the neck, which can stimulate the ineffective or atrophied swallowing muscles. Currently, trained experts use it for rehabilitation therapy to train the pharyngeal muscles.

Manual therapy

Physical therapists usually use other equipment, such as ultrasound therapy, or manual therapy to strengthen muscles and stretch tendon tissues to relax injured joints and muscles. People who are nervous, overly tired, have ulcers on the affected area, are pregnant or have bleeding disorders should avoid using this therapy.
Shockwave therapy
What is a focused shock wave?
Concussion wave is a kind of high-energy sound wave. Its principle is to use sound waves to create some very tiny wounds in the affected area, destroy the inflamed soft tissue, stimulate the self-repair ability of cells, promote blood circulation and the growth of new blood vessels, so as to achieve the therapeutic effect.

However, there are some things that need special attention before shock wave therapy. For example, patients with pacemakers, pain in the lung tissue, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetic neuropathy, etc., need to adjust the energy or pulse frequency of shock waves. Before shock wave therapy, patients should first consult a physical therapist to find out whether they are suitable for this treatment before deciding whether to undergo the treatment.

Ultrasound is a high-frequency sound wave generated by electric current passing through a crystal. When ultrasound encounters fibrous tissue, it causes vibration and generates heat.
